Two Dollar Grey (also initialized as 2$G) is a hard rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. The band was started by Nate Gullickson from Minnesota. Gullickson moved to Arizona in the late 1990s and was part of the band Halogen for approximately four years. After Halogen dissolved, he formed his current ensemble with musicians in central Arizona. After writing several songs, the band asked vocalist Craig Daley to join, at which time the quintet was formed under its current name.[1] The name came from one of Gullickson's friends who stated that he wishes he was in a band so that he wouldn't have to purchase two dollar grey t-shirts from Wal-Mart.[2]

In September 2011, their five track extended play debut album "Saw You There" was released followed by their first music video "You Don't Belong" in November of that same year. The album includes four original songs from the band in addition to a cover of Duran Duran's hit single Come Undone starring Jessilina Nhieu.

The band describes their music as being "groove rock", a type of music where a person's body will start flowing with the music without the person realizing it. The band then indicates that it is a mixture of dance music and the more cutting edge alternative rock with a hint of metal.[3]

The band has been reviewed by Miles Christopher of 40oz. Robot[4] and Steal The Spolight.[5][6][7] The band has also starred on Just a Show, a weekly radio show based in Minneapolis, Minnesota starring DJ Keith King as well as Hard Rock Radio Live.[8][9][10]

The music video for You Don't Belong was filmed on location in Coolidge and Phoenix, Arizona.

The story begins with Lieutenant Houston (played by Zachary Meyer) driving up to a fictional remote penetentiary facility named "The Cage" in a white sports car under the watchful eye of Prison Guard #1 (played by Mikey Ballinger) standing on a lookout tower. A female prison official (played by Jessilina Nhieu) then welcomes Houston. Houston is subsequently patted down by Prison Guard #3 (played by Cory Michalski) while asking if there are enough guards working at the facility. The female prison official states that the prisoner is bound and locked four stories below ground in a facility that is "150 miles away from anything that resembles civilization".

After being briefed, Houston is introduced to the head of security, Major Davis (played by Nate Gullickson). Davis then tells Houston that him being there is professional courtesy, and that he must have pulled a lot of strings to get as far as he did. The female prison official instructs Houston to stay at least five feet away from the prisoner (played by Craig Daley), and to ask the prisoner what he came to ask and nothing more. Davis tells Houston that he will have only ten minutes with the prisoner whether or not he gets the information that he wants, and that the prisoner will remain in that facility.

After the two begin speaking, the prisoner appears to spit toward Houston, prompting Houston to start punching him. Houston is subsequently restrained and removed from the cell by Davis and Prison Guard #1.
